There was no official Texas flag during the Revolutionary period. Various groups fought under their own banners or whatever their sponsors or friends imagined suitable. The only flag the Texians had at San Jacinto, apparently, was the original of this one, which had been presented to a company of Kentucky riflemen by the wife of their commander, General Sidney Sherman.
